So, my artistic side is suffering.

I've decided I'm fed up with my current style.  I learned it from a how-to-draw book, for heaven's sake!  It's too cartoony and juvenile and not mine.  I want to have my own, truly personal style, with as little outside influence as possible.  No more copying!!

Only problem is, that means I'm pretty much starting over.  That means my art is going to look like crap for a while, and I won't feel like sharing it with anybody (sorry ).  But I'm SO reluctant to go back to the beginning.  It was fine when I was, you know, in middle school and my drawing skills weren't that great anyway.  I feel like, now, I should produce better work no matter how my style changes.  I'm probably the only one putting that pressure on myself, but it's preventing me from even taking out a sketchbook.  I can think of all these things I want to draw, but I don't dare try because it won't come out as perfectly as I envision it.
